Before the January transfer window closes, Jhon Duran of Aston Villa is reportedly being pursued by Chelsea in an unexpected move. This season, Mauricio Pochettino and #039’s squad have been beset by numerous chronic ailments, many of which have affected the front line. Duran is viewed as a stopgap measure while the Blues look for offensive depth all season long.

Journalist Nathan Gissing, who collaborates with respectable Italian reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, says as much. According to reports, Duran has been “discussed internally” at Chelsea; a loan move may be imminent.

The Napoli forward is believed to be available in the summer, therefore the Blues are debating whether to move for Duran or hold out for Victor Osimhen. But Villa “would need a suitable replacement” before they would be willing to let Duran go.
