Following the Cowboys’ appalling NFL Playoff loss, Madden 24 mocks them.
Seeing a social media post where Madden 24 mocks the Dallas Cowboys caught me off guard. Still, the social media group behind the popular NFL simulator seized the chance when it presented itself. Following the team’s crushing defeat at home during the playoffs, the X page (formerly known as Twitter) featured an all-time troll.
The Dallas Cowboys had a lot of odds to win their playoff game at home. They got to host the Green Bay Packers after taking first place in the NFC East and earning the second seed in the conference. As the seventh seed, they were a squad that just about made it.
Anybody who has played Madden knows that anything can occur on the field. The Packers didn’t seem to have much of a chance. They have better players and are rated far higher in Madden 24. In real life, they were also three games better, with superior defense and attack.
All of that was meaningless, as the Packers eventually led 48–16. It was very much game over at that point. One of the most spectacular Madden 24 trolls ever appeared on social media as a result.
Many will give up and leave the game when it gets too intense. When it’s an online match, they frequently think there’s no use in waiting for the timer to run out if there’s no way they can win. At one point, a lot of Cowboys fans may have experienced that, and Madden 24 made fun of them for it.
