Crysencio Summerville talks about what Leeds United will really miss after Luke Ayling leaves.

Leeds United defeated Cardiff City on the road in their first match following Luke Ayling’s departure, which raised team morale. However, Crysencio Summerville acknowledged the team will miss Ayling’s impact in the locker room.

Ayling’s lengthy tenure at Elland Road comes to an end this week as he signed a loan deal with Middlesbrough through the end of the season. His contract expires in the summer. The 32-year-old was eager to move to Teesside because he wanted to play football for the first team, even though it would mean saying goodbye to some close friends.

He played the full 90 minutes as Michael Carrick’s side recorded a 3-1 away win at Millwall, but the gap he has left in the Leeds United squad has been keenly felt. Summerville is just one of many to have paid tribute to him in recent days, with 22-year-old Dutch forward Summerville sending his thanks for how he helped him settle into life in West Yorkshire.
